SAN JOSE, Calif. - March 18, 2014 - Harmonic (NASDAQ: HLIT), the worldwide leader in video delivery infrastructure, today announced that Blair King has joined as the company's director of investor relations. In this role he is responsible for developing and managing the worldwide investor relations program and leading the communications effort to the investor community.

"Blair joins the company as a leading analyst with extensive knowledge of media, technology, cable, and other industries that are critical to Harmonic," said Carolyn Aver, chief financial officer at Harmonic. "He understands our business and our industry, and has the expertise and skill needed to lead the communication of our strategies and opportunities to the investor community."

Prior to joining Harmonic, King led the corporate development efforts at Verimatrix. He earlier served as vice president of Avondale Partners' Technology, Media and Telecommunications Research Group, where he was the lead analyst covering the communications equipment sector. King also held roles in finance, marketing and sales at Arris and Nortel Networks. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of the Pacific and an MBA from Vanderbilt's Owen Graduate School of Management.

King is based in San Jose and reports directly to Aver.
